Voting Question: Out of state speeding ticket received in Elkhart County of Indiana--what to do about this?

My dad drove 90 on a 70 mph road a couple of weeks ago. We just got the ticket notification in the mail today, and we're not quite sure what to do about it. From what I can gather online, it seems like Elkhart County requires that speeders go into their deferral program thingy. However, my dad just wants to get things done and over with (especially since getting a driving record from Illinois and sending it over to Indiana would cost extra both in time and money). What should we do exactly? Is there some way to pay the fine directly, and if so, how much is it? Is the time/effort for the deferral program worth it? Thanks.... Read More »
